LEAD PASTOR - Byron Morrell
Pastor Byron accepted his call into ministry in April of 1984. He began with itinerant work conducting revivals and children's crusades for churches across South Carolina. It was shortly after this that he met Cindy Knight, the love of his life and whom he calls his "Angel" sent from God. They were married in June of 1986 and moved to Alabama to minister as the State Youth Director of the Churches of God of Prophecy.
Byron pursued his education with an emphasis in Biblical Studies and Counseling. He graduated Tomlinson College (Cleveland, TN) with a B.A. in Ministry and The Church of God Theological Seminary (Cleveland, TN) with a M.A.C.M. in Counseling. He also studied at Western Seminary (conservative baptist) in Portland, OR.
Byron has served as Pastor of four other churches before being named Lead Pastor at The Bridge in November 2018. He has also served other ministry roles and worked as a mental health counselor and a college career counselor.
Byron and Cindy have two children. Zach, their oldest son, is married to Sarah and they currently reside in Raleigh, NC. Zeke, their youngest son, lives in Greer, SC.
CARE PASTOR - Jim Beasley
Pastor Jim answered his call to the ministry in 1980. Before answering his calling He served various positions in his local church from Youth Life team leader to Sunday School teacher and then Sunday School superintendent. In 1982 Pastor Jim accepted the position of Associate Pastor at the Brecksville Church of God of Prophecy in Brecksville, Ohio. This period as Associate Pastor provided a great training ground for the next steps in His journey.
Over the next few years he served as pastor at COGOP churches in Wellston, Albany and Jackson, Ohio. Moving to South Carolina in 1993, he pastored for the IPHC at Wellford and Travelers Rest, SC. Jim has been serving since 2017 as Associate Pastor and Care Pastor for The Bridge.
Pastor Jim is the oldest of four siblings, father of four sons and grandfather of seven grands.
